Assistant Warehouse Manager 2
Role Overview
The Assistant Warehouse Manager will oversee the daily flow of goods and personnel within our
manufacturing and distribution operation. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between
our Cutting & Packaging production lines and our Shipping & Receiving docks. We are
looking for a hands-on leader who can jump onto a forklift one minute and optimize a staging
layout the next.
This position reports to: Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Oversight (Cutting & Packaging)
● Cutting Area Production: Monitor and support the loading of bulk raw materials into
specific wiping product cutting area and accurately tracking quantities.
● Packaging Area Management: Supervise the final boxing, and labeling of products to
ensure they meet quality and branding standards.Operate and manage the flow of
packaged goods out of the automated palletizer system. Operate the pallet wrapper to
prepare the finished goods for shipment staging. Tag and track finished goods pallets
and place them into shipment or stock finished goods areas.
● Workflow Coordination: Ensure that the cutting area is feeding the packaging area
efficiently to prevent bottlenecks and the area remains organized by material type.
2. Order Fulfillment & Shipping Staging
● Pick & Pack: Pick orders from finished goods inventory.
● Shipping Staging: Organize outgoing shipments in designated staging lanes with
correct shipping documentation to ensure rapid loading and minimize carrier wait times.
● Inventory Accuracy: Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain real-time stock levels
accordingly.
3. Logistics & Dock Operations
● Loading/Unloading: Assist with the loading and unloading of LTL carriers, containers,
and local delivery trucks.
● Carrier Coordination: Interface with drivers and dispatchers to ensure paperwork
(BOLs, packing slips) is accurate and signed.
● Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA standards, particularly regarding
forklift operation and pallet racking safety.
Qualifications
● Experience: 5+ years in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, with at least 1
year in a lead or supervisory role.
● Skills: Proficient in forklift operation (Certification preferred) and experienced with
Inventory management and production planning.
● Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to [50] lbs.
● Mindset: A "lead-by-example" attitude with the ability to pivot priorities in a fast-paced
production environment.
